Day 60 - Phoneboxes

Today’s photo is a shot of three red Telephone Boxes on the Royal Mile in Edinburgh.  These are a classic British symbol and I love the fact that we still have them in Edinburgh as there are far fewer of these around now that everyone has mobile phones.  I hope they don’t eventually phase them all out as it would be a shame to see these go. I still remember the days before we all had mobile/cell phones and you had to use one of these to call home.

  1. Marie says:

    I LOVE this!!
In Sweden we don’t have them anymore…
And they never were that proudly red either…

  2. A symbol of Britain. I like the contrast between the red and the old buildings.
